AGP Texturing Test

AGP Driver Adapter Test

General

Receiving messages: "Adapter does not support 16-bit mode" and "Unrecognized error value when running the AGP Texturing Test"
The Texturing Test queries the driver to determine what color depths are supported for 3D rendering. All the DirectX* cards we have seen support 16-bit color mode. This is determined using DirectDraw* device enumeration. It may be that your driver is not reporting the correct supported bit depths. You can try to set your screen resolution to the supported bit depth and run the texture test from there.

Nothing happens when running the AGP Driver/Adapter Test
The Driver/Adapter Test produces a temporary log file "HEAPTEMP.LOG" before it produces the log file with the requested name. You can look at HEAPTEMP.LOG to determine the test in which your hardware failed.

Does the Intel Baseline AGP System Evaluation Suite (IBASES) program test for 3D-supported graphics cards only?
A: IBASES only supports graphics cards with 3D capabilities.

Where do I find the file VGARTD.VXD?
OEMs will distribute VGARTD.VXD with Windows* 95 OSR2.1. If the file VGARTD.VXD does not exist in the path Windows\System, you will need to obtain an updated driver for your video card. NOTE: The file is included with Windows 98 Beta 3.
